The Chimmeys Picnic Area is a great place to picnic when traveling though the park. Especially nice after rains when there is a lot of water flow in the river. gfmn2000的完整评论

Hey Annsims; I'd say roughly 25 miles or so but the speed limit is lower so it may take 45 mins or more to get there. Totally worth it though!

Hi, I would suggest trying to get there as early as possible. From what I have seen and been told it can fill up pretty quick during peak times.

Chimney Rock and the Chimneys are 2 completely different places. The Chimneys Picnic Area is in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Chimney Rock is in North Carolina over 100 miles away. The Chimneys Picnic Area has recently reopened and so I am assuming the bathrooms are open as well.
