We spent a great deal of time on the Riverwalk during a recent visit to San Antonio. There are great bars and restaurants as well as gift shops and other attractions. We also did the boat ride. Robert B的完整评论

Always enjoy our time here. The atmosphere with the lights and sights are numerous. We try and go every year. There are also other attractions nearby to enjoy and see. mikedG1607DP的完整评论

Very enjoyable boat tor of the San Antonio River. We were there in December when the Christmas lights were lit. It was leisurely and beautiful. Marilyn S的完整评论

While I can't answer your question from a legal or bylaw perspective, the river walk does have at least one elevator access from street level (may be another at the mall?) and though I didn't notice any handicap scooters on the walk, there were people with strollers or walkers. The walk is level but caution that there is no railing for most of it and should you drop a wheel off the edge, you could go for a swim (apparently a $500 fine if caught in the river....). Note also that the bridges that cross over the river from one side to the other have stairs (at least all the ones we crossed). I think someone from San Antonio or another more knowledgeable person should wade in here with more information. I'd try to reach the local visitor info site for that. There are restaurants and some shops as well as the river cruise are accessible with a wheelchair or scooter.
