At least one person died, and around 20 others were rescued after a tourist boat capsised off Calangute beach in North Goa on Wednesday. A lifeguard at the beach said that at least 13 people were rescued but noted that the exact number remained unknown.

The incident occurred around 1.30 pm when the boat capsized around  60 metres away from the coastline, resulting in all the passengers falling off into the sea water.
